NIST Traceability
Founded in the United States and part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) provides consistent and accurate measurement standards for industries, scientists and citizens.

As a service to professional and industrial customers, Oregon Scientific offers an optional calibration service to certify the sensors are accurate within stated specifications with reference to an NIST-traceable standard. The certificate is valid for up to a year. This certification is applicable primarily to business operating within the U.S. International users should confirm beforehand the NIST traceability will be applicable in their region.
